Review: Jimmy Kudo uses his keen perception and intuition to solve mysteries that have baffled officials. In one of his cases, he was suddenly ambushed from behind and exposed to a strange chemical that made him become a schoolboy! As Conan Edogawa, he tracks down the people responsible for this.im. While he is searching for a cure for his bizarre condition, Jimmy assists the police in solving the most complicated crimes.
The premise of Case Closed is very intriguing. You have High School Jimmy Kudo, who wants to be the next Sherlock Holmes. Despite the danger, he remains ambitious to be the best detective. Until a situation changes his life.
Although I enjoyed the premiere. Some of the cast of characters bother me. For instance, the protagonist’s love interest father is an alcoholic who is jealous of high school success. He is also selfish. His actions show he is more concerned with his own needs than that of his daughter.
While the plot was well developed, there was a glaring plot hole: if the victim faking his suicide fell backward onto the knife, how did he position his stomach on himself?
Despite the character’s sometimes cliche nature, the cases are imaginative and well-constructed. For a quick read, this is an entertaining manga. The series looks interesting, so I am looking forward to reading more.
